Detroit Diesel Creates Parts, Service and Customer Support Organization

Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) has created to two new departments to focus on customer support. The company has made a number of executive appointments in conjunction with the announcement.

DETROIT — Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) has created to two new departments to focus on customer support. The company has made a number of executive appointments in conjunction with the announcement.

Jeff Wallis has been named senior vice president of parts, service and customer support. Wallis joined Detroit Diesel in 1988 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in aftermarket parts sales and remanufacturing. He most recently served as vice president of parts sales and marketing.

A combination of existing and newly formed departments including Parts, Service, Warranty and Technical Support will report to Wallis.

Glenn Lysinger will assume the newly created position of Chief Quality Officer (CQO). Lysinger has served in a variety of other roles including, technical services, reliability engineering and materials engineering. His most recent assignment was vice president of customer assurance.

“These recent changes will heighten our focus on customer service from a total organizational perspective,” said said Carsten Reinhardt, president and CEO of Detroit Diesel. “Both Jeff and Glenn will be members of the DDC Executive Committee.”

Detroit Diesel Corp., a susidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG, headquartered in Detroit, Mich., manufactures, sells and services heavy-duty diesel and alternative fuel engines, automotive diesel engines and engine-related products.
