SMYRNA, TN — One year after moving its headquarters to Smyrna, Tenn., Beck/Arnley said it has seen a big improvement in its distribution process. According to Max Dull, vice president and general manager of Beck/Arnley, the company achieved a 96 percent fill rate and its cycle time has been reduced to 24 hours, thanks to streamlining the distribution process.

“Moving our headquarters to Smyrna proved to be a very positive step for Beck/Arnley,” said Dull. “Relocating key personnel and having all major departments under one roof has allowed us to create a newer, simpler inventory management system to meet our customers’ distribution expectations.”

Beck/Arnley’s new distribution system is designed with a customer-driven focus. Based on an alpha-numeric sequence, each stock order shipment is packed so that when a part is removed from the box, it is ready to be added to the customer’s existing inventory.

“The new headquarters has allowed Beck/Arnley to go back to the basics, providing the best distribution solution to meet our customers’ needs,” said Dull. “Coupled with our Customer Care Centers, our new distribution system allows us to handle both stock orders and small, emergency orders in a fast and efficient manner.”
