Michelin Introduces Two New Tires

Michelin introduced two new tires this week - the Pilot XGT Z4 all-season high-performance tire and the Pilot Exalto PE2. Michelin also announced this week that its new Pilot Alpin PA2 tire will be introduced this September

GREENVILLE, SC — Michelin introduced two new tires this week – the Pilot XGT Z4 all-season high-performance tire and the Pilot Exalto PE2.

The Pilot XGT Z4 is available now in 11 sizes, with rim diameters ranging from 16 to 18 inches. The Pilot Exalto PE2 tire, targeted at the North American sport compact market, is also available now at authorized Michelin dealers in the U.S. in 19 sizes, from 15- to 19-inch rim diameters. An additional nine sizes will become available by mid-2005, according to Michelin.

The new Pilot XGT Z4 offers three large circumferential grooves that promote water evacuation from the contact patch and reduce water in the center area, resulting in improved hydroplaning resistance, says Michelin.

Michelin also announced this week that its new Pilot Alpin PA2 tire will be introduced this September.
