CHARLOTTE, NC — SKF/Chicago Rawhide (SKF/CR) and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver Jeff Burton recently teamed up to participate in the 2004 Charlotte Muscle Team Event, a yearly event which benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) through a silent auction and special appearances by various sports personalities.

This was the second consecutive year Burton and SKF/CR has participated together in the event. SKF/CR is one of longest running major associate sponsors on Burton’s No. 99 Ford.

“Jeff’s dedication to events and organizations, such as the MDA Muscle Team, makes SKF/CR’s relationship with the No. 99 Team very special,” said Katie Noga, marketing and motorsports manager, SKF/CR Americas. “SKF/CR is happy to lend our support by helping to fund summer camps for the children, international research, various clinics and assistance programs. SKF/CR takes pride in its ability to maintain a strong presence in the community by helping others.”

Co-hosting the event with Burton was Carolina Panther’s (NFL) defensive lineman, Mike Rucker. Also present at the event was Carolina Panther’s quarterback Jake Delhomme, Carolina Panther’s coach John Fox and professional wrestler Ric Flair to name a few.
