FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — The National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) has named Simpson Communications as its public relations agency of record for The Work Truck Show 2005, an annual trade show which brings together fleet managers, equipment distributors, manufacturers, leasing company representatives, government officials and other professionals involved in buying, selling or using commercial trucks and transportation equipment.
Established in 1964, the NTEA is the leading association supporting the $86 billion commercial truck and transportation equipment industry. The association currently represents nearly 1,600 companies that manufacture, distribute, install, sell and repair commercial trucks, truck bodies, truck equipment, trailers and accessories.
Based in Shaker Heights, Ohio, Simpson Communications is a public relations agency that specializes in business-to-business communications within the transportation industry. As agency of record for the The Work Truck Show 2005, the firm will plan and conduct the public relations campaign to support and promote the event. Responsibilities will include preparing press releases and other media materials, media relations, on-site pressroom staffing, public relations counseling and managing all show-related media requests.
The show, slated to take place March 2-4, 2005 at the Indiana Convention Center & RCA Dome in Indianapolis, features full-size equipment displays of trucks and equipment from vehicle Classes 1 through 8. The Work Truck Show 2005 will be held in conjunction with the 41st Annual NTEA Convention (March 1-4).
