WILLIAMS, AZ — Peter Brown, owner and founder of auxiliary lighting company KC HiLiTES, Inc. has announced he is passing on the company to a new generation. Brown is selling the business to his stepson Michael DeHaas, a longtime employee of the company. Brown will continue as a consultant for the business.

“I’m pleased to announce the transition of KC on to my stepson, Michael,” Brown said. “He’s grown up in the business, has done a superior job as sales manager and has exhibited the leadership qualities necessary to keep KC on a controlled growth pattern.”

DeHaas joined the company in 1991, running the sales support division, and took over as sales manager in 1996.

“I’ve been fortunate to work my way up through the ranks at KC,” said DeHaas. “It’s been a rewarding experience, learning from Pete and Bob DeLander; and now I’m looking forward to taking KC into the future with some exciting new products.”
