ORLAND PARK, IL — The 2003 Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week was a record-breaker, with more than 50,000 buyers attending the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) and SEMA Show.

Now, according to registration figures for July, more buyers will be on hand this year to visit the 1,900-some exhibitors at AAPEX. AAPEX 2004 is scheduled to take place Nov. 2-5 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.

Pre-registered buyer totals in July increased nearly 8 percent compared to pre-registered buyers in July 2003. More than 9,000 buyers have registered for AAPEX and Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW) , including more than 1,100 international buyers. AAIW includes both AAPEX, co-sponsored by the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) and the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), and the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

“The tremendous global interest in AAIW and AAPEX speaks volumes to how the aftermarket industry views AAPEX and its role in getting business done,” said AAPEX Show Manager Bill Glasgow, Sr. “We are very encouraged that aftermarket suppliers and other service providers realize the impressive quality and quantity of buyers our event attracts, and we are happy that the value we continue to add to AAPEX is being well received by the attendees.”
