LAS VEGAS — It goes without saying that our industry continues to change before our very eyes. Distribution channels and methods continue to change. What worked as recently as a year ago might not be working now.
The University of the Aftermarket’s annual University Forum can help you stay competitive, and keep pace with our ever-changing market. The event takes place on Sunday, Oct. 31 prior to the kickoff of AAPEX 2004.
Whether you are a headquarters principal, WD, company-owned store manager, retailer or independent jobber — the health of your business will depend on how you are meeting and exceeding customers’ needs and adapting to cross-channel challenges and new technologies. Attendees to the 2004 University Forum, which is sponsored by Babcox Publications and Motormite/Dorman, will walk away with valuable tips and strategies to help meet those needs.
This year at University Forum, automotive expert Bob Moore will moderate a panel discussion “Connecting the Dots — Drawing the e-Commerce Picture” will Ron Decker, co-owner of Decker Auto Supply, Justin Fletcher, e-business manager for Factory Motor Parts and Joseph Oddo, who handles global development and program coordination of customer B2B e-business systems for Delphi Product & Service Solutions group.
For the past 20 years, Moore has worked with more than three-dozen automotive and heavy-truck manufacturers and distribution and dealer groups creating programs for jobbers, re-builders and dealers. He is active in a number of industry associations and is a regular contributor to several trade publications.
In this panel discussion, Moore, Decker, Fletcher and Oddo will address current e-business solutions and share stories from their own IT journeys. Each has implemented B2B e-commerce connecting service dealers, jobbers, distributors and parts manufacturers. This panel will discuss the challenges in implementing their solutions and the ROI rewards involved.
