Brake Parts Inc. Changes Friction Layout in its New Raybestos Brand Brakes Catalog

Brake Parts Inc. has made changes to the friction layout of its new Raybestos brand brake catalog, in an effort to provide more application-specific information, enabling Raybestos customers to sell more parts.

MCHENRY, IL — Brake Parts Inc. has made changes to the friction layout of its new Raybestos brand brake catalog, in an effort to provide more application-specific information, enabling Raybestos customers to sell more parts.

There are now four columns for both front and rear friction listings, displaying PG PLUS, QS Quiet Stop, SS SuperStop and Raymold. For disc pads, the highlighted numbers in the PG PLUS or QS Quiet Stop column indicate the material equivalent to the OE product offering. For example, a PGDC or QS number that is highlighted indicates the original equipment friction offering is ceramic. If the PG PLUS number highlighted has an “M” suffix, this indicates the original equipment friction offering is semi-metallic. Highlighted numbers in the SS SuperStop column indicate the recommended friction choice for a specific severe duty application such as police or taxi.

Brake shoes are also listed, where applicable, by grade. A brake shoe size chart and disc shim application guide is included in the back of the book, as a reference.

The rotor section of the catalog includes Brutestop Performance and SuperStop Severe Duty Rotors, while the caliper section now includes the Friction Ready Caliper line.
