NEWPORT BEACH, CA — With a sharp focus on business education, the Production Engine Remanufacturers Association (PERA) said its recent convention, held Sept 29-Oct.2 in California, was one of its most successful annual conventions in years.
“We tried very hard to develop a curriculum that offered value to every participant, regardless of their business responsibilities,” said PERA Program Committee Chairman Rick Simko. “I congratulate all of our presenters for their excellent preparation and program content; our committee has heard nothing but great things from members during and after the convention.”
Among the program highlights were Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) President and CEO Kathleen Schmatz’s keynote address on the current state of the automotive aftermarket, and in-depth educational sessions covering cash management, succession planning, availability and use of industry standards, the viability of warranty programs and the opportunities represented within today’s performance marketplace.
“We’ve had very positive feedback on the value of this year’s event,” said PERA President Asiff Dhanani. “Our educational program has always been the backbone of this event, but the 2004 convention in particular offered an exceptional blend of industry insight and management skills.”
