Corteco Announces Second Edelbrock Engine Winner

Vic Edelbrock, Jr., president and CEO of Edelbrock Corp., joined with Corteco at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis last month, to draw the name of the second winner in the first Edelbrock Engine Sweepstakes.

PLYMOUTH, MI — Vic Edelbrock, Jr., president and CEO of Edelbrock Corp., joined with Corteco at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis last month, to draw the name of the second winner in the first Edelbrock Engine Sweepstakes.

Sherry Roberts of Roberts Racing LLC in Sparks, Ga., was picked as the winner of a 410HP Chevy small-block performance engine sealed by Corteco and valued at $6,900. Roberts has been involved in the racing industry for 23 years and currently owns three cars in the Late Model Dirt division.

This was the second drawing of this nature that Edelbrock and Corteco teamed up for in 2004. Shane Leist of Rockwell City, Iowa, was selected as the winner of an identical engine by Edelbrock at the AAPEX trade show in Las Vegas in November. Entries for both drawings came from sweepstakes submissions at races, automotive jobbers and retailers and submissions made at www.installCorteco.com.

“We’ve been thrilled with the popularity of this contest,” said Pat Lynch, Corteco’s Manager of Product Marketing. “You’ll see another promotion like this from us in 2005.”
