Wagner Brake Extends Market-Leading Product Line Into Severe-Duty Category

Wagner Brake Products, a leading brand of replacement friction and related components for passenger vehicles, has introduced a complete line of premium disc brake pads and shoes for fleet, school bus, emergency vehicle, utility and other severe-use applications.

SOUTHFIELD, MI — Wagner Brake Products, a leading brand of replacement friction and related components for passenger vehicles, has introduced a complete line of premium disc brake pads and shoes for fleet, school bus, emergency vehicle, utility and other severe-use applications.

The new Wagner SevereDuty disc brake pads and shoes were created with application-specific materials and a variety of Federal-Mogul engineering and manufacturing advances.

“Wagner is ready to leverage the same engineering leadership in the severe-duty category that has made it the leading friction brand for thousands of North American automotive service shops,” said Wagner Marketing Director Peter Murnen. “Wagner SevereDuty brake pads and shoes will help service providers and their customers eliminate costly comebacks by maximizing braking performance and product life.”

New Wagner SevereDuty disc brake pads include a variety of exclusive design features engineered to ensure superior performance and reliability, according to Federal-Mogul. Each pad utilizes the Wagner brand’s integrally molded friction technology with a reinforced friction bond design for increased strength and long-life. Wagner SevereDuty pads also are post cured, which allows for significantly faster break-in, and feature OE-matched shims, slots, chamfers and wear sensors, according to the company. Federal-Mogul engineers also have developed a black powder coat finish that enhances pad appearance and ensures long-lasting corrosion protection.
