New Software to Help Small & Medium Suppliers Deploy PARTnerShip Network

The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) announced today the availability of a first-of-a-kind software solution that will enable small- and medium-sized suppliers to comply to with major retailer's requirements for data exchange through the PARTnerShip Network.

BETHESDA, MD — The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) announced today the availability of a first-of-a-kind software solution that will enable small- and medium-sized suppliers to comply to with major retailer’s requirements for data exchange through the PARTnerShip Network.

GCommerce, Inc., a supply chain technology supplier, has rolled out their PARTnet solution, which will lower the barrier to entry and allow for widespread industry use of PARTnerShip Network. This development makes compliance with technology mandates from major retailers possible and affordable for mid- and small-sized suppliers.

“We believe that Integration Service Providers (ISP) such as GCommerce will allow mid and small sized companies with limited IT resources to easily exchange EDI documents with their trading partners through PARTnerShip Network software,” said Scott Luckett, AAIA vice president of technology standards and solutions. “With the introduction of this new service, we will leave no trading partner behind in forming a virtual aftermarket network.”

PARTnerShip Network is an industry-sponsored software solution that addresses the escalating costs of e-commerce communications. The software is an alternative to the Value Added Network (VAN) based communication of EDI and other electronic messages between business partners. PARTnerShip Network delivers critical business documents with the same reliability and security of a VAN at a fraction of the cost because there are no transaction or per-character fees associated with its use.

GCommerce is an ISP offering either a turnkey solution or technical assistance to accelerate the adoption of PARTnerShip Network.

“GCommerce offers a trading hub solution that allows trading partners to connect to PARTnerShip Network quickly, easily and at a low cost. These alternatives allow virtually everyone to be PARTnerShip Network enabled, regardless of their business management system or current ability to trade EDI documents,” Luckett said.
