MISSOURI CITY, TX — Non-profit corporation Scene of the Accident, Inc. has expanded its relief effort that initially provided help for technicians affected by Hurricane Katrina to now assist technicians who experienced a setback from Hurricane Rita.
“Our tools for tech’s program has been expanded to help all of the technicians in the path of Hurricane Rita,” Todd Hoffman, executive director, Scene Of The Accident, Inc. said. “We are asking all technicians along the Texas Gulf Coast to register on our website at toolsfortechs.org. We will be calling them after the storm to make sure they are alright and to provide immediate assistance in the way of temporary employment and tools.”
Scene Of The Accident had made arrangements, before Rita made landfall, to accommodate any technician who may have lost their job by matching them with a job opening wherever they become displaced. By offering help before it was actually needed, technicians could concentrate on their families and not worry about immediate assistance after the storm.
