RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — “Examining the State of the Aftermarket” will be the theme for the first-ever AASA Executive Breakfast, to be held Tuesday, Nov. 1, just prior to the start of the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX). The event is being organized by the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), the aftermarket segment association of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA).
The breakfast will include presentations from several industry leaders including:
The industry leaders will discuss trends, opportunities and challenges from the manufacturer, distributor, retailer and service points of view and will discuss how their companies are adapting to those dynamics. Zaglio will provide an overall industry view from the investment community and review the key factors affecting the health of the aftermarket as the industry heads into a new year.
MEMA Chairman Michael Cardone, Jr., chairman and CEO of CARDONE Industries, will also present the Triangle Award, MEMA’s most prestigious award.
The breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. and conclude at 8:30 a.m., allowing manufacturers plenty of time to get to their exhibits. The event will take place at The Venetian, in Palazzo D-E, and will include a sit-down breakfast.
“The annual AAPEX event has always lacked a formal kick-off event – but AASA will change that this year,” said AASA President Paul Foley. “The AASA Executive Breakfast is a first-time event that we hope will become the official kick-off to the world’s largest annual aftermarket trade event. We hope the industry embraces this event and helps give AAPEX the kick-off it deserves.”
