Modine Employees, Company Match Raise More Than $150,000 for Hurricane Relief Efforts

Modine Manufacturing Co. announced this week that its charitable foundation and employees worldwide have now donated more than $150,000 to hurricane relief agencies to help those devastated by the recent storms. The money donated will be used to help the hundreds of thousands of people in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida and Alabama, who are trying to rebuild their lives after Hurricane Katrina, Rita and now Wilma.

RACINE, WI — Modine Manufacturing Co. announced this week that its charitable foundation and employees worldwide have now donated more than $150,000 to hurricane relief agencies to help those devastated by the recent storms. The money donated will be used to help the hundreds of thousands of people in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida and Alabama, who are trying to rebuild their lives after Hurricane Katrina, Rita and now Wilma.

“From across the world our employees have seen the need and responded. Our hearts go out to the people in the middle of the destruction and we hope this donation helps. We are very proud of our employees who raised more than $50,000. So we are happy to match that and send another $50,000 to aid in the rebuilding,” said David Rayburn, Modine president and CEO.

In September, Modine’s charitable foundation donated $50,000, divided equally between the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army, and encouraged employees to donate to the relief effort of their choice. The company pledged to match all donations up to an additional $50,000. Thanks to employee donations in excess of $50,000, Modine will now donate an additional $25,000 to the American Red Cross and $25,000 to the Salvation Army for a total hurricane relief donation of more than $150,000.
