Continental Teves Debuts PremiumOne Rotors Program for North American Aftermarket

Continental Teves yesterday introduced its PremiumOne disc brake rotors for all European vehicle brands -- the first in a series of launches that will include domestic and Asian vehicles as well. The company said the addition of the rotors further strengthens the already well-known ATE brand of aftermarket brake products, and supports Teves' commitment to providing a complete line of premium, high-quality brake products for the aftermarket. ATE's PremiumOne rotors currently are on display at the 2005 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), booth 874, this week in Las Vegas.

AUBURN HILLS, MI — Continental Teves yesterday introduced its PremiumOne disc brake rotors for all European vehicle brands — the first in a series of launches that will include domestic and Asian vehicles as well.

The company said the addition of the rotors further strengthens the already well-known ATE brand of aftermarket brake products, and supports Teves’ commitment to providing a complete line of premium, high-quality brake products for the aftermarket. ATE’s PremiumOne rotors currently are on display at the 2005 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), booth 874, this week in Las Vegas.

The ATE PremiumOne rotors are unique, in that each rotor design is application-specific — all are based on the original equipment design and engineered to stringent tolerances, unlike many aftermarket replacement products that take a one-size-fits-all approach.

ATE’s premium rotors feature a differentiated and patented RotorLife wear indicator, giving technicians a visual indicator of when the rotor should be replaced. The rotor’s groove design also disperses dirt and water and enhances the dissipation of heat and gases to reduce brake fade and extend pad life. In addition, ATE treats each PremiumOne rotor with MetaCote, a protective coating that not only helps prevent rust and corrosion, but also provides an attractive finish.

“As one of the world’s premier suppliers of braking systems and components, we have earned an outstanding reputation as a premium, innovative and reliable partner of the automotive industry,” said David Mestdagh, director, North American Aftermarket, Continental Teves. “The addition of the PremiumOne rotor program further demonstrates the reputation and quality of the ATE brand to our customers. “As the number one producer of foundation brake products worldwide, we are able to leverage our technical and engineering capabilities to provide a strong aftermarket product that meets the demanding needs of the replacement customer for quality and value.”

ATE PremiumOne rotors for Domestic and Asian vehicles will be available in early 2006.
