New Fel-Pro Performance Catalog Offers Expanded Coverage

Fel-Pro Performance Gaskets Catalog is now available featuring expanded coverage of Fel-Pro PermaTorqueMLS performance head gaskets and other exclusive sealing solutions for today's professional and sportsman racing engines and high-output street performance applications. Fel-Pro gaskets are manufactured and marketed by Federal-Mogul.

SOUTHFIELD, MI — Fel-Pro Performance Gaskets Catalog is now available featuring expanded coverage of Fel-Pro PermaTorqueMLS performance head gaskets and other exclusive sealing solutions for today’s professional and sportsman racing engines and high-output street performance applications. Fel-Pro gaskets are manufactured and marketed by Federal-Mogul.

The 2006 performance gaskets catalog (No. 902-06) includes a wide range of new Fel-Pro sealing solutions, including 33 additional PermaTorqueMLS performance head gaskets covering small-block and big-block Chevrolet, Honda 1.6L, Mitsubishi 2.0L, Toyota V8 and other popular engine platforms.

This catalog introduces Fel-Pro solid-steel-core intake manifold gaskets, sealing technology engineered for high-vacuum racing engines, as well as performance applications that have a long service life, such as street machines, recreational and tow vehicles. The catalog also features expanded coverage of Fel-Pro premium molded-rubber valve cover and oil pan gaskets, which utilize a rigid core and steel compression limiters designed to make installation faster and easier. These gaskets are well suited to applications that are serviced more frequently, according to Fel-Pro.

Another new technology featured in the catalog is the Fel-Pro PTFE rear main seal, which was designed to help eliminate contamination and reliability concerns related to conventional molded seals. The Fel-Pro seal’s patented “lay-down” style lip and PTFE material provide superior resistance to leaks caused by extreme temperatures, chemical attack, abrasive clutch dust, and score marks on the crankshaft, according to the company.

The Fel-Pro product team has re-engineered the catalog’s application section, with all available sealing options organized by engine model as well as an expanded technical information section featuring detailed part specifications to help counter professionals, engine builders and other customers choose the right gasket design and material for each performance application.

The catalog’s cylinder head-to-gasket interchange section helps the user quickly identify the correct Fel-Pro performance head gasket and intake and exhaust manifold gaskets for each of the hundreds of aftermarket cylinder heads. Fel-Pro has also developed an illustration section featuring detailed images of each performance head gasket, intake manifold gasket, exhaust header gasket and valve cover gasket.
