Tenneco Expands Walker, Dynomax Product Lines

Tenneco will introduce 575 additional part numbers to its Walker and DynoMax aftermarket emission control product lines in April, continuing the company’s aggressive expansion of coverage for domestic and import passenger vehicles. The new product SKUs ranging from cat-back exhaust systems to direct-fit catalytic converters and premium muffler assemblies will increase Tenneco’s exhaust coverage to more than 92 percent of the North American passenger car population.

MONROE, MI — Tenneco will introduce 575 additional part numbers to its Walker and DynoMax aftermarket emission control product lines in April, continuing the company’s aggressive expansion of coverage for domestic and import passenger vehicles.

The new product SKUs ranging from cat-back exhaust systems to direct-fit catalytic converters and premium muffler assemblies will increase Tenneco’s exhaust coverage to more than 92 percent of the North American passenger car population.

“We’ve made it clear to distributors and shop owners that we’re committed to investing in the emission control category and helping them grow their businesses,” said Frank Murkowski, emission control marketing manager, Tenneco. “We continue to identify new coverage opportunities across our broad-market, performance and heavy duty lines that can help our aftermarket trade partners attract new customers.”

Among the new Walker products available in April are 123 direct-fit catalytic converters, 102 Quiet-Flow 3 direct-fit mufflers and assemblies, 75 SoundFX mufflers, and 35 resonator assemblies. (More than 100 additional direct-fit catalytic converter SKUs will be added in June.)

Approximately 35 percent of the new Walker part numbers available in April cover popular import applications.

The 95 new DynoMax SKUs available in April include 14 high-flow cat-back exhaust systems, five premium Ultra Flo mufflers, 14 sets of headers, and dozens of pipe and hardware part numbers. Tenneco also is expanding its Thrush performance exhaust product line with three new glasspack mufflers available in April.

“We’ll continue our expansion with additional part numbers throughout 2006,” Murkowski said. “Distributors and installers can rely on Tenneco as a single-source supplier of OE-replacement, performance and commercial vehicle exhaust products.”
