RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC Attendees can purchase individual tickets or reserve tables to hear the insights of Peter Karlsten, president and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America, at the 17th Annual HDMA Breakfast & Briefing on Friday, March 23, 2007, at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), in Louisville, KY. The event is presented by the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA).
This year’s HDMA Breakfast & Briefing will accommodate more than 1,000 guests. Housed at the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center in Louisville, KY, the HDMA Breakfast & Briefing will start at 8 a.m. and end by 9:30 a.m. to allow exhibitor personnel to be in their booths by show opening time.
“We are pleased to have Peter as our guest speaker, and look forward to his comments on the economic value of advanced safety technology for the trucking industry,” said Tim Kraus, president and COO of HDMA. “He will include examples of how new technologies, such as stability control and anti-rollover systems, have substantial returns on investments for fleets. He also will detail how the adoption of safety technology benefits other key issues, such as driver recruitment and retention,” he added.
Karlsten joined the Volvo Group in 2001 and became president and CEO in 2003. He has a strong background in the automation sector and extensive international experience.
Tables of 8 at the annual HDMA event will feature corporate logos and can be reserved for $525. Those with reserved tables will receive priority seating and be allowed early entry into the event.
