Hi-Tech 400 H.P. 351W Crate Engines Now Available from Year One

BRASELTON, Ga. — Working in conjunction with Hi-Tech Engine Components, Year One Inc., a supplier of muscle car restoration products, has developed a new 400 horsepower 351W crate engine for Ford applications.

These engines feature new high-performance aluminum heads with 2.02 and 1.60 stainless steel valves, dual plane aluminum intake manifolds and new high-quality, dual bolt pattern harmonic balancers. Designed to run on pump gas, each engine includes a high lift, short duration hydraulic roller cam and lifters for a combination of crisp low-speed throttle response and incredibly strong higher RPM horsepower.

According to Hi-Tech, there are two things that set these engines apart from the other small block Ford crate engines on the market. First is the fact that these engines produce more than 12 inches of vacuum at 800 RPM, making them ideal for customers that are utilizing power brakes and other power accessories. Second is price, the engines retail at $4,290.

Each engine is individually hot dyno tested and the dyno sheets are included inside of each shipping container. Since these are crate engines, no core charge is required. Each engine is also balanced and blueprinted and comes with a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty.
