PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – CARDONE Industries’ employees and their family members will soon have the option to receive family health and wellness services just minutes away from CARDONE’s five main locations in northeast Philadelphia.

Partnering with Holy Redeemer Health Care System, construction began yesterday on the new Holy Redeemer Family Health Center at CARDONE, being built on property in Philadelphia currently owned by CARDONE.

The 2500-square-foot facility, located at 5600 Tabor Avenue in Philadelphia, will offer primary health care, internal medicine, care management, diagnostic and wellness services to CARDONE’s 4,000 employees and 8,000 family members. Not only will the Holy Redeemer Family Health Center provide convenient access to health care, it will also offer flexible hours, cutting down on unnecessary and expensive emergency room visits, according to the company.

“This represents what can happen when organizations with very different missions find common ground with their vision,” said Chairman and CEO, Michael Cardone Jr. The Holy Redeemer Family Health Center at CARDONE will be staffed by Holy Redeemer physicians and health care team members and is expected to open in early 2009. CARDONE employees will not be limited to this new health center when it opens; they will continue to have access to the entire Holy Redeemer Health System.

Holy Redeemer President and CEO, Michael B. Laign, spoke of the two companies’ collaboration and said, “We’ve forged a great relationship that will bear fruit for years to come.”
