AISIN Recognized on ‘A List’ in CDP’s Climate Change Ratings

AISIN has embraced "To the future, a sustainable environment" as a core value offered to society and stakeholders.

Aisin Corporation has achieved the highest rating in the climate change category of CDP, an international environmental NGO based in London, U.K. This marks the third time Aisin has been recognized on the “A List,” following previous recognition in the water security category in 2021 and 2022. This latest recognition in the climate change category is a first for the company.

Aisin, a manufacturing company with significant CO2 emissions, operates as an automotive supplier whose products consume energy during use. The company has acknowledged its responsibility to contribute to a sustainable society, including the broader goal of carbon neutrality. To this end, Aisin has established specific targets: achieving carbon neutrality in production by 2035 and extending carbon neutrality to the entire life cycle by 2050. It has been implementing initiatives focusing on both production processes and product development.

In addition to efforts to reduce CO2 emissions within its own operations and through product usage, Aisin collaborates with suppliers and engages in projects with national bodies like the Ministry of the Environment and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) to implement technologies that contribute to carbon neutrality across society. The recognition on the “A List” in the climate change category signifies acknowledgment of the company’s efforts throughout its value chain.

Aisin has embraced “To the future, a sustainable environment” as a core value offered to society and stakeholders. Through its commitment to carbon neutrality initiatives, Aisin aims to promote the adoption of technologies that reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions within local communities.
