Plews & Edelmann Adds Factory-Direct Shipping

The program is designed to offer a 30-day lead time, which improves upon the typical 90-day period, the company said.

Plews & Edelmann has announced the launch of a new factory-direct shipping program for its Edelmann brand power steering hoses within the U.S., aiming to streamline logistics for customers. The program is designed to bypass international customs and duties and offer a 30-day lead time, which improves upon the typical 90-day period, the company said. Factory-direct shipping also ensures a 95% or higher order fill rate and reduces shipping costs through full container load efficiency, the company said.

According to Tony Edwards, vice president of sales, the initiative utilizes the company’s North American supply chain to increase efficiency and maintain high-quality standards. “We developed this near-shore shipping program to give customers a domestic and direct import option,” Edwards said. “Due to our North American supply chain capability, we can fulfill orders more efficiently while delivering exceptional quality and service.”

The program includes optimized inventory, shipment tracking and competitive lead times. Minimum order quantities are required to participate. Customers interested in the factory-direct shipping option can contact their sales manager or Plews & Edelmann customer service for further details, the company said.
