Carquest by Advance Opens New Iowa Location

The store is owned and operated by new Carquest store partners, husband-and-wife Darin and Taloyre Keller.

Carquest by Advance, an auto parts retailer part of the Advance Auto Parts family of brands, is celebrating its grand opening in Boone with a ribbon-cutting event this Friday. Located at 1115 SE Marshall Street, the store is owned and operated by new Carquest store partners, husband-and-wife Darin and Taloyre Keller, the company said.

Friday’s celebration will include a ribbon cutting hosted by Boone County Chamber of Commerce, free ice cream and giveaways for customers. The event will also include the announcement of a $500 Carquest gift card donation to Gilbert High School. The donation will help the school acquire tools and training equipment for its shop class.

“We are delighted to welcome the community to our new Carquest by Advance store,” said Darin Keller. “Taloyre and I have been business owners in Boone for many years, and we’re thankful for this wonderful opportunity to join the Carquest family as store partners. We have an incredibly strong team in place, with many years of automotive and heavy-duty equipment experience. Our team is looking forward to providing the best parts and support to weekend DIYers, automotive repair shops and local farmers who do so much for our community.”

Along with Friday’s ribbon cutting, the team will host a classic car show at its store on Saturday. The Kellers’ new store caters to do-it-yourselfers in the Boone community and carries name-brand automotive products, including DieHard auto batteries. Local motorists also have access to Carquest by Advance’s free curbside services, including battery testing and installation, wiper blade installation and curbside and in-store pickup for online orders. The store team offers heavy-duty and agricultural products, including filters and custom-length hydraulic hoses, the company said.

The store first opened its doors on July 31. In addition to owning the new Carquest by Advance store, Darin and Taloyre have operated Boone-based Keller Excavating, Inc., since 2003.
