Mayhew Tools Sponsors Pole Award for NASCAR’s Whelen Modified Tour

Mayhew Tools Sponsors NASCAR Pole Award

This will be the fifth consecutive year the hand-tool manufacturer will sponsor the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Pole Award.

Mayhew Steel Products, Inc. (Mayhew Tools) has announced its continued sponsorship of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Pole Award for the 2023 season. This will be the fifth consecutive year that Mayhew has sponsored the Pole Award, which recognizes the driver with the fastest time in the qualifying rounds, and their crew. This award sponsorship provides an opportunity for Mayhew to present each winning driver with a $1,000 check, while also awarding the crew chief of the team a heavy-duty Dominator Pro Pry Bar. The pry bar, dubbed the ‘Big-Stick,’ is a 13 lb. pry bar ideal for heavy-duty applications where extreme prying force is needed.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season will kick-off Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, in Florida at the New Smyrna Speedway as part of the track’s “World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing,” during NASCAR’s Speedweeks. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s 2023 season will include 19 races scheduled throughout most the Northeast, concluding at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia on Oct. 26, 2023.

“Being a sponsor of the Pole Award throughout this 2023 season gives us an opportunity to support NASCAR in what will be its 75th year, while also allowing us the opportunity to make a direct impact with the drivers, their crew-chiefs, and their teams, competing in the Whelen Modified Tour,” said John Lawless, President of Mayhew Tools. “We are very much looking forward to another successful race season with all the fans and teams, while recognizing those who will be the 19 Pole Award winners of this season.”
