Myers Industries, Inc., has announced the release of its 2021 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report as part of its ongoing efforts to increase transparency around its ESG strategy and initiatives.
“We are proud to share our first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, which highlights our commitment to sustainable business practices and how we are addressing key ESG areas of focus,” said Mike McGaugh, president and CEO of Myers Industries. “This report marks a milestone in our efforts to provide enhanced transparency about the ways we integrate sustainability and social responsibility into what we do. Myers worked diligently over the past year to complete an extensive materiality assessment to develop goals that align both with globally recognized reporting frameworks and its “One Myers” culture. In preparing this report, the Company used ESG frameworks such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), to identify material topics most pertinent to the Company and its stakeholders. Myers is committed to continuous improvement in its efforts to define and measure progress against its long term ESG goals.
