IPA Debuts SMART MUTT X For Five Trailer-Type Connections

It's a universal, remote-controlled, diagnostic light tester for all North American trailers.

Innovative Products of America (IPA) announces the launch of the #4105 SMART MUTT X series for testing five of the most common trailer types with one unit. Model #4105 supersedes IPA’s #9004A SMART MUTT with new features and capabilities.

“The SMART MUTT X is designed for our customers who work on a range of trailers utilizing semi, RV, utility, boat and horse trailer-type connections,” says Ian Vinci, president of IPA. “The SMART MUTT X is microprocessor controlled and can be electronically switched to different trailer-type modes. Each mode optimizes system programming by pin type to simplify and speed up inspections for our customers.”

New features include: a larger processor for future expandability, 7-way round and 7-way flat connections and a 12-button remote specifically designed for the SMART MUTT X series. IPA customers who already utilize the #9004A and #9004M SMART MUTT models will be thrilled with the superior design and capabilities.

IPA has been manufacturing high-quality, diagnostic equipment and setting the standard for inspection protocols since 1996. All IPA’s diagnostic trailer testers come with a 24-hour repair/replace policy and 3-year limited warranty.
