Atturo Tire has committed to donating $10,000 to Keeping Families Covered, to assist them in their mission to help provide basic needs to families in the greater Lake County, IL area. Keeping Families covered is based out of Waukegan, IL, and is located next door to Atturo Tires. 

Atturo Tire ran an awareness campaign in December of 2021 announcing the donation and running a series of posts on social media highlighting the organization and the needs it fulfills. Keeping Families Covered fulfills these needs by providing a wide range of items to families through their mobile pantry program. Through this program, they provide Infant Formula, Feminine, Diapers, Wipes, Pull-Ups, and Adult Incontinence products. 

Atturo Leadership recently presented their donation to Keeping Families Covered as part of a combined charity event where Atturo Employees assisted in wrapping, packaging, and preparing donations to be distributed at an upcoming diaper drive.

“Most people don’t realize how big of an issue diaper need is in the United States, and as a father myself, I am proud to support an organization that helps families in need in both mine and Atturo’s backyard,” said Michael Mathis, Atturo’s president.

Atturo has also committed to continue to support Keeping Families Covered through 2022 as a Diamond sponsor of their new “Changing Table” Program.

“These sponsorships help us to keep our shelves stocked so we can provide families with the basics they need to thrive. In each of the last two years, our distributions exceeded one million diapers, and the need just continues to grow. In 2021, we distributed about 100,000 diapers a month, serving 1,200 families and 1,800 children each month,” said Ann Marie Mathis, founder and CEO of Keeping Families Covered.
