Hahn Automotive Finalizes Carparts Distribution Acquisition

Carparts has 20 jobber/retail stores located in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine.

Hahn Automotive Warehouse, a Rochester, New York-based corporation, has announce the closing of the transaction to acquire the assets of Carparts Distribution Center Inc., a Plaistow, New Hampshire-based company (Carparts).  Both Hahn and Carparts are warehouse distributors of aftermarket automotive parts.  Stan Lewis, Carparts’ president, will continue with the company as general manager for the New England store group.

Carparts is a warehouse distributor of aftermarket automotive parts with its main warehouse location in Plaistow, New Hampshire, along with 20 jobber/retail stores located in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine. Hahn and Carparts are both members of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, a leading international buying and marketing association. Hahn said it decided to acquire Carparts based on Carparts’ performance as a well-managed company with a commitment to growth and customer service in the New England market.

Daniel J. Chessin, co-president and CEO of Hahn, said, “We are excited to be expanding our footprint in the New England area with a family-owned business with similar values and business practices as Hahn.” 

Eli N. Futerman, Hahn’s other co-president and CEO, added, “With the acquisition of Carparts, we are able to strengthen the Auto Value brand and expand our product offering to ensure that our customers are supplied with the parts they need.”   

Carparts’ General Manager, Stan Lewis, commented, “We are extremely pleased to be joining Hahn as this combination provides significant opportunities for growth for our customers throughout the New England area.”
