NGK Earns Honda Supplier Award

The Honda Excellence in Quality & Delivery Award recognizes suppliers at the top of their commodity classification.

NGK Spark Plugs USA. Inc. has been awarded the 2020 Excellence in Quality & Delivery Award from Honda Development & Manufacturing of America LLC.

As measured by Honda’s delivery performance index, The Honda Excellence in Quality & Delivery Award recognizes suppliers at the top of their commodity classification. Additionally, the supplier also must have demonstrated superior quality performance.

“While 2020 brought many challenges to the industry, the entire NGK team worked persistently to meet the demands of Honda in the area of product quality and delivery,” said Todd Cullums, NGK director of manufacturing. “We are extremely proud to be one of only 25 suppliers chosen from a field of more than 700. It is a testament to NGK’s OE heritage and pursuit for quality.

PHINIA Inc. reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024.

First Quarter Highlights:

U.S. GAAP net sales of $863 million, an increase of 3.4% compared with Q1 2023.

Excluding $17 million of contract manufacturing sales, sales were up slightly compared to Q1 2023. Favorable pricing and currency were partially offset by lower commercial vehicle sales in Europe.
