NPD Group Names 2nd Annual Aftermarket Award Winners

The awards were given to the brands with the highest increase in U.S. market share in key super categories over the past 12 months.

The NPD Group has announced the winners of its second annual Automotive Aftermarket Performance Awards. The awards were given to the brands with the highest increase in U.S. market share in key super categories over the past 12 months, as well as an overall award for top brand growth during the second quarter of 2020 recognizing strong performance during the pandemic, according to NPD’s Retail Tracking Service.

NPD’s Retail Tracking Service for the automotive aftermarket is based on sales data collected from a panel of automotive specialty and mass retailers.

“This year has taken the idea of fast-paced change to another level, and despite early concerns, the automotive aftermarket has found significant silver linings in the midst of the pandemic. The consumer is seeking out these products with both a new and renewed perspective, and it is exciting to recognize the companies who led the way in delivering on an unexpected level of demand,” said Steve Flavin, president, Automotive Aftermarket practice, The NPD Group. “At the close of an unprecedented year, and start of a new kind of AAPEX show, we wish the winners, and the marketplace as a whole, continued success for the remainder of the year and into 2021.”
