Kent Automotive Adds Lift King Line For Heavy-Duty Repairs

Kent Automotive will distribute Lift King lifting equipment to collision shops, service departments and trucking companies.

Kent Automotive, a division of Lawson Products, Inc. and a leading distributor of high-performance products and inventory management solutions to collision and mechanical repair shops and automotive OEMs, announced an agreement to distribute Lift King portable lifting equipment to collision shops, service departments and trucking companies.

The Lift King product mechanically lifts and moves semi-truck hoods, car or truck doors and pickup beds, and provides shops with new levels of productivity, safety and quality.

“The opportunity to partner with Kent Automotive gives us a knowledgeable field sales team and distribution network to help some of the busiest and largest collision shops and trucking companies across the country,” said Lyn Tetreau, CEO, Network 1 Solutions, manufacturer of Lift King. “We are excited about this partnership and the benefits it will bring to us and our mutual customers.”

Removing and installing hoods, doors and beds is a difficult and time-consuming process that requires up to four technicians. With easy-to-use Lift King, set up, removal and installation are completed by just one technician, while eliminating human strain and possible injury. Lift King’s durable, adjustable construction reduces the chance of damage to trucks and vehicles during repairs.

“Since using Lift King, we have saved a lot of labor time and money,” said Mike Wisenbaugh, BWS Truck Repair. “We don’t have to pull four techs off other jobs to remove or install semi-truck hoods. It’s one tech, one tool.”

Back injuries account for one of every five injuries and illnesses in the workplace, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. “By equipping technicians with Lift King, shops enhance their safety practices while they optimize efficiency, operations and financial performance,” said Matthew Brown, senior vice president, sales, Lawson Products.
