APC Uses Technology To ‘Push The Envelope’ During COVID

New part introductions continued across its Brake and Emissions businesses and product categories.

In light of the multi-faceted challenges everyone has faced doing business during the COVID-19 pandemic, APC Technologies says it is particularly proud of its engineering and product development teams that continue to push the envelope on New Part Introductions (NPI) across its Brake and Emissions businesses and product categories.

For decades, both AP Emissions and Centric Parts/StopTech have led the market in delivering more vehicle application coverage, and 2019 and 2020 (year-to-date) has been no different, the company says. The company says it has embraced the use of technology to stay connected – and keep product development moving – during this challenging time.

On the brakes side, the Centric Parts/StopTech team launched 654 new parts in 2019 and 154 in 2020 through April. This includes leading product categories such as Friction (Brake Pads), Steering & Suspension, Drum & Rotor, Calipers, Performance/Racing parts (StopTech), and more. Top applications include the 2020 Jeep Wrangler (Posi-Quiet calipers), 2020 Chevrolet Silverado (Posi-Quiet friction), and 2020 Kia Telluride (Centric Premium rotors) are now in stock and ready to ship. With these newly introduced part numbers, Centric continues to provide products for more than 98% of U.S. vehicles in operation.

On the Emissions side, the AP Emissions team launched 586 new parts in 2019 and 162 in 2020 through April. This includes leading product categories including Catalytic Converters (primarily Direct Fit), Exhaust Piping, Mufflers, and Muffler Assemblies. The coverage spans well-known brands including AP Emissions, ANSA, CATCO, and Eastern Catalytic.
