Knowing the critical need for medical supplies for frontline workers amid COVID-19, on Thursday, April 16th, Safelite donated medical supplies to two local Columbus, Ohio, hospitals: Nationwide Children’s and OhioHealth. Each hospital received 200,000 latex gloves and 1,000 N95 face masks.
Safelite decided to activate its local teams across the country to gather together supplies to send back to Safelite’s hometown of Columbus to help do their part in addressing local public need.
Steve Miggo, senior VP at Safelite AutoGlass, explains how meaningful the donation is for the company, “Safelite is donating our surplus supply of 400,000 gloves and 2,000 N95 masks to support our hometown medical workers in the fight against the coronavirus. We’re proud to call Columbus home and want to do our part to support the critical needs of our community and help protect our families, friends, and neighbors who are healthcare workers on the frontlines.”
