Tips & Tricks For Staying Focused At Home

For those of you who also had to very suddenly join the ranks of remote workers, we've got you.

Last week, Babcox Media implemented a work from home policy in order to do our part to help slow the spread of COVID-19. We are very fortunate to have the ability to work from home and have the best that technology can offer us right at our fingertips as we continue to get the job done. For those of you who also had to very suddenly join the ranks of remote workers, today we want to share a few tips and tricks we’ve learned over the past week.

A Few Tips From Babcox Media employees:

Jim Merle, Vice President/Group Publisher:

I really find it helpful to take time to connect by phone. It’s really nice to hear a colleague’s voice.

Take a breather. No question we’re working in an environment that has limited interruptions; virtually none for me, so I do find it helpful to step away.

Mary DellaValle, Editor, Tire Review:

Prioritize your daily task list and get back to team members in a timely fashion so that everyone can be more efficient and stay on track.

Dean Martin, Vice President/Group Publisher:

Stay connected and keep your basic routines in place.

Karen Kaim, Regional Sales Manager:

Best practices for me are keeping the same routine of getting up, getting showered and dressed and making a solid list of what needs to be accomplished each day in my territory. I also recommend taking a “break” every so often … take a walk, read a magazine, anything to clear your mind for a few minutes!

Let us know how things are going for you working remotely. Share your tips and tricks with AMN Editor Amy Antenora here.
