RSI SmartCap Wins SEMA Awards, Plus 9 Global Media Awards

Debuting its new SmartCap EVO, at stainless steel 5-piece modular truck cap system, RSI took home the 2020 SEMA Award for Best New Van/Pickup/Sport-Utility Product.

As a part of its North American launch, RSI International (RSI), a South African manufacturer of truck accessories, was a first-year exhibitor at the SEMA Show and a first-year participant in the SEMA New Product Showcase and awards competition. Debuting its new SmartCap EVO, at stainless steel 5-piece modular truck cap system, RSI took home the 2020 SEMA Award for Best New Van/Pickup/Sport-Utility Product. Additionally, it was runner-up for the Best New Exterior Accessory Product and were awarded 9 Global Media Awards.

According to SEMA, more than 3,000 products were entered into the New Product Showcase. Michael Voss, CEO of RSI, commented, “It goes without saying, we’re very proud of the SmartCap EVO and believe it to be a giant step forward for the entire truck cap category, but the response we received from both the industry and the media blew us away. Our entire team, both stateside and in South Africa, are feeling excited, humbled and very grateful for the recognition.”

Also, as mentioned, RSI was awarded 9 Global Media Awards. Chosen by a panel of international journalists, these awards recognize the product’s consumer appeal in each of their home countries. The RSI SmartCap EVO, SmartKitchen, and SmartRack received awards from Australia (4), Canada, China (2), New Zealand and Peru.

The RSI SmartCap EVO and SmartSystem of Accessories will be available after the beginning of the year and are exclusively being distributed by Keystone Automotive Operations.
