Mickey Thompson Products Honored At 2019 SEMA Show

Three of Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels' latest off-road tire applications caught the eyes of international press members, earning Mickey Thompson a trio of SEMA Global Media Awards.

Three of Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels’ latest off-road tire applications caught the eyes of international press members, earning Mickey Thompson a trio of SEMA Global Media Awards. The recognitions came the same week the company was honored for receiving an Export Achievement Certificate from the U.S. Dept. of Commerce for its efforts to increase sales and strengthen business relationships in China and the Middle East.

“The 2019 SEMA Show was a great example of our continued dedication to global growth,” said Ken Warner, VP of marketing for Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “Adding three Global Media Awards on top of the recognition for our Export Achievement Certificate shows that our products are appreciated and desired by a worldwide audience.”

This year, three Mickey Thompson products were selected for Global Media Awards:

• Baja Boss tires, selected by Simon Christie, 4WD TV, Australia
• Baja Pro X tires, selected by Jerome Andre, Generation 4×4 magazine, France
• Baja Pro XS tires, selected by Perry Mack, 4WDrive magazine, Canada

The SEMA Global Media Awards Program celebrates the growing trend of automotive personalization and customization throughout the world. International journalists serve as judges, using the program to help identify new products that are likely to succeed in their home countries. A special ceremony recognizing Mickey Thompson’s Export Achievement Certificate, which it earned after participating in outreach and education programs offered by the Specialty Equipment Market Association, was held Nov. 6 during the annual International Happy Hour at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
