Akebono Expands Its Pro-ACT, Akebono Performance And EURO Disc Brake Pad Offerings

The company says seven pads provide coverage for nearly 1 million vehicles.

Akebono Brake Corp. has announced seven new part numbers; five parts include premium stainless hardware and five parts include the required electronic wear sensor. This product expansion includes one Pro-ACT, one Akebono Performance and five SKUs in the company’s award-winning EURO disc brake pad kit line.

“Today we added front and rear pad kits for passenger cars, vans and SUVs. These parts fit a number of Chevrolet, Ram, Fiat and Land Rover vehicles,” said Edward Gerhardt, marketing & data services manager, Akebono Brake Corp. “We continue to expand our offering in 2019. These seven new part numbers expand our coverage by almost 1 million vehicles. 

“With this release, we now have full coverage for the new Chevrolet Malibu, added front pads for the commercial use Ram ProMaster City, Fiat 500L and a slew of Land Rovers. All four Land Rover parts include the electronic wear sensor and hardware kits. Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery and LR4 owners now have the chance to experience great-braking, dust-free performance from Akebono,” added Gerhardt.
