VMAC Named Finalist In Canada’s Best Managed Companies For The Second Year In A Row

This prestigious business award was established in 1993 and recognizes Canadian-owned and -managed companies for their management and organization’s strategy, vision and accomplishments.

VMAC has been named a finalist in Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 2019. This prestigious business award was established in 1993 and recognizes Canadian-owned and -managed companies for their management and organization’s strategy, vision and accomplishments.

“We are honored to have our leadership team recognized for the second year in a row for their commitment to ensuring that VMAC continues to provide value to our customers, our coworkers and our community while we grow our business,” says Tod Gilbert, VMAC’s president. “The application process is a valuable exercise for the VMAC management team to reflect on the initiatives that are working well, review the impact of recent improvements and identify areas where management can be improved.”

Each year hundreds of Canadian companies submit comprehensive applications but only a select group of companies are named finalists. Applicants undergo a rigorous and independent evaluation of their management’s strength, including strategy, capability, commitment and return on investment. Regional economic conditions and industry trends are also carefully considered in the judging criteria.

“VMAC is thrilled to be recognized as a 2019 finalist in Canada’s Best Managed Companies,” said Gordon Duval, VMAC’s vice president of marketing and sales. “Beyond financial performance, VMAC has continued to excel in all key areas of its business operations; receiving this recognition validates the commitment and effort of every one of our coworkers and the extraordinary culture that exists at VMAC.”

The winners of Canada’s Best Managed Companies will be announced publicly this March in Maclean’s and La Presse media outlets. Canada’s Best Managed winners will celebrate at the National Best Managed Symposium and Gala in Toronto April 2019.

This announcement comes after VMAC was awarded Industrial Manufacturer Business of the Year at the 2018 Business Excellence Awards. VMAC also was recently recognized by Finning, the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer, as the 2017 Innovative Solutions Supplier of the Year.
