LINE-X, Ultimate Linings Combine To Create IXS Coatings

Through a combined coatings portfolio, customers will have access to proprietary coatings ranging from high-pressure polyureas and cartridge systems to specialty formulations developed for fire resistance, thin-build application, potable water storage, chemical resistance, UV stability and much more.

Two global leaders in scientifically advanced industrial and manufacturing protective coatings – LINE-X and Ultimate Linings – have combined to form IXS Coatings.

The two companies say the merger of Ultimate Linings and LINE-X Protective Coatings combines both companies’ world-class product lines and rich project experience to give industrial and manufacturing customers more choices for their protection and surface enhancement needs. Manufacturers may choose from proprietary products across both brands.

IXS Coatings will offer complete coatings solutions worldwide. Through a combined coatings portfolio, customers will have access to proprietary coatings ranging from high-pressure polyureas and cartridge systems to specialty formulations developed for fire resistance, thin-build application, potable water storage, chemical resistance, UV stability and much more.

Manufacturing and industrial customers will benefit from shared polyurea application expertise, spray equipment installation and cutting-edge coatings development, according to IXS. By utilizing the LINE-X accredited product development laboratory, which is ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certified in the field of mechanical testing by the American Association for Laboratory accreditation body (A2LA), IXS Coatings will have state-of-the-art resources to evaluate their chemistry, coatings and chemical development, and says it can offer speed to solutions that are unique in the industry. IXS Coatings also will employ highly skilled technicians and applicators that can implement robotic spray systems and provide application expertise to customers.

Ultimate Linings is known for its leading solutions for major OEMs and industrial customers. From a variety of protection projects – including robotic integration – the company also provides chemicals, spray equipment, application expertise and additional support to manufacturers that apply coatings to finished products.

LINE-X is a global leader in extreme protective coatings – having impacted everything from the Pentagon, military vehicles/troops, truck beds, vehicle exteriors to countless manufacturing/industrial projects of all varieties. Its brand name is celebrated by consumers – from general automotive to off-road/truck lifestyle enthusiasts, the company says.

LINE-X’s extensive nationwide network of automotive aftermarket and protective coatings retail franchises will continue to offer exclusively LINE-X spray-on bedliners, LINE-X protective coatings and truck accessories including Truck Gear by LINE-X.

LINE-X franchises will not offer Ultimate Linings products. Conversely, dealers offering Ultimate Linings products will not offer LINE-X products. These independently owned and operated businesses will not modify their current offerings.

“We have successfully brought together two of the world’s leading protective coatings providers and can now offer our manufacturing and industrial customers a wide variety of solutions for any situation or challenge,” said Dennis Weese, president of IXS Coatings. “In addition to added choices and value, we have also combined our research and development efforts to reinforce what has already been the very best in product lines with advanced, proprietary chemistry. Our combined strength in the protective coatings industry is unmatched and we are looking forward to exponential growth in the coming years.”
