OTC Introduces 3 New Tools To The Drive Axle Product Line

The new tools help technicians increase efficiencies when working on drive axle jobs and are compatible with a wide variety of vehicles.

OTC has added three new drive axle tools to its product lineup in North America. The new tools help technicians increase efficiencies when working on drive axle jobs and are compatible with a wide variety of vehicles.

The new drive axle tools include:

  • 6712 Axle Seal Protector: The new axle seal protectors shield seals from being cut or nicked, both of which can cause immediate or eventual leaks. The tool is similar to J-44394-A. The tool is applicable for 2011 and later drive axles on most GM vehicles.
  • 6713 Seal Protector: The new seal protector shields the transfer case Intermediate Drive Shaft (IDS) seal from the splines of the IDS during shaft removal or installation. The tool is similar to DT-50937. The tool is applicable for 2013 and later Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore.
  • 6714 Input Shaft Seal Installer: The new input shaft seal installer is a two-function seal installer. One end installs the input shaft seal into the main housing to the proper depth while the opposing end of the installer inputs the side extension housing seal to the proper depth. The tool is similar to DT-50840 & J-8092 and is applicable for 2013 and later Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore.

The new drive axle tools are now available through OTC’s distribution partners. For more information on OTC drive axle tools, visit OTCTools.com.
