The Merrill Co. Hosts Congressman Steve King For Auto Care Association Hometown Summit

As a follow up to last year’s Legislative Summit, the Auto Care Association has organized Hometown Summit, a program to facilitate hosting members of Congress while they are back in their home states.

In the Fall of 2017, Dennis Spooner, managing partner at the Arnold Group of Companies, along with fellow team members Kyle Byrne and Eric Johnson traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in the Auto Care Legislative Summit. At the event, they visited the offices of four members of Iowa’s Congressional Delegation to discuss issues important to the auto care industry.

As a follow up to last year’s summit, the Auto Care Association has organized Hometown Summit, a program to facilitate hosting members of Congress while they are back in their home states. Congressman Steve King and two staff members visited the Merrill Co. on May 30 to discuss issues important to Merrill Co. and to tour the facility.

Issues discussed included access to telematics diagnostic information, embedded software copyright concerns and the importance of free trade to the automotive aftermarket industry.
