IAC Group Recognized By General Motors As A 2017 Supplier Of The Year

"This award is an affirmation of IAC's efforts and focus on delivering innovative, high-quality components in support of GM's objectives,” said Terry Gohl, IAC Group chief operating officer.

International Automotive Components (IAC) Group was named a Supplier of the Year by General Motors (GM) during its 26th annual awards ceremony held Friday, April 20 in Orlando, Florida.

IAC was part of a select group of 132 of GM’s best-performing automotive suppliers from 17 countries that have consistently exceeded the global automaker’s requirements, created outstanding value or brought new innovations to the company. The announcement represented the most suppliers GM has recognized since debuting the Supplier of the Year event in 1992.

“This is an opportunity for General Motors to honor those suppliers who are truly the best of the best,” said Steve Kiefer, GM senior vice president, global purchasing and supply chain. “The automotive industry is transforming at an incredible rate. The relationships we have with our supply base means everything when it comes to delivering a strong vehicle lineup today and the cutting-edge vehicles and mobility services of tomorrow.”

“We are honored to receive this prestigious award and proud to be acknowledged among the elite group of companies recognized by General Motors this year,” said Terry Gohl, IAC Group chief operating officer. “This award is an affirmation of IAC’s efforts and focus on delivering innovative, high-quality components in support of GM’s objectives.”

Gohl and Carl Beckwith, IAC president of North America, accepted the honor on behalf of the company.

Winning suppliers were chosen by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives and were selected based on performance criteria in product purchasing, indirect purchasing, logistics, customer care and aftersales.
