Robinair Introduces New Air Conditioning Recovery Machine To North American Market

The 34288NI is an entry-level unit suited for smaller shops that service passenger vehicle A/C systems. The machine recovers, recycles, evacuates and recharges R-134A mobile A/C systems, covering most of today’s passenger vehicles.

Robinair has announced the 34288NI air conditioning (A/C) recovery machine as the newest addition to the Robinair product line up. The 34288NI is an entry-level unit suited for smaller shops that service passenger vehicle A/C systems. The machine recovers, recycles, evacuates and recharges R-134A mobile A/C systems, covering most of today’s passenger vehicles.

The 34288NI comes equipped with features not typically found on entry-level units, according to Robinair, including a 4.3-inch full color graphic display and the ability to customize the machine through add-ons. These optional features include a refrigerant and oil database for North American vehicles and a printer to print service summaries directly from the machine, which are both available when ordering the machine.

The 34288NI meets or exceeds SAE J-2788 requirements, with more than 95 percent recovery efficiency and precise charge accuracy to better than a half-ounce of the programmed charge amount. For additional convenience, the 34288NI includes an automatic oil drain feature, which drains the oil recovered and deposits it into a graduated container to measure the amount of oil needed to refill the system. The automatic air purge feature effectively eliminates damaging air without the need to monitor gauges or open valves.

The Robinair 34288NI also features a programmable vacuum function that defaults to 15 minutes and can be set for up to 99 minutes. Once set, the remaining time is displayed on the screen. A refrigerant management system displays use and monitors remaining filter life. For ease of maintenance, the machine alerts technicians when 1/3 of filter life remains.
