The new VDO Xtreme LED Tachometer lets drivers select up to four separate shift points and play back the run in “real time” or slow motion.

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket has announced the new VDO Xtreme LED Tachometer for street rod and hot rod enthusiasts. The company says it provides easy programmability, a top range of 12,000 RPM, plus 90- and 360-second memory recalls. Continental is the manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered instrumentation and replacement parts for the custom truck and car enthusiast market.

Continental - VDO Xtreme LEDThe new VDO Xtreme LED Tachometer lets drivers select up to four separate shift points and play back the run in “real time” or slow motion (1/4 speed). The tachometer is designed to handle applications from 2 to 10 cylinders and multiple ignition coils. This makes it an ideal solution for a wide range of engine configurations, the company says.

VDO Xtreme LED Tachometer features an innovative shift point setting that can use either a shift light or pulsing backlight to indicate specified shift points. It is offered with a chrome bezel in a choice of either white or black dial face and can be switched between red or white backlighting.

The VDO Xtreme LED Tachometer is the ideal instrument for performance enthusiasts who like to take their hot rods and muscle cars to the drag strip and record and analyze data at a basic level. It offers easy application for muscle cars, street rods, hot rods and custom trucks, and can be used in almost any application where a recall and shift light are desirable, such as a 1/4-mile drag strip.
