Continental Introduces Expanded Offering Of Elite-Branded Timing Belt Kits For North American Market

Continental Elite Pro Series, Pro Series Plus timing belt kits come with a new 100,000-mile comprehensive guarantee.

Elite-logoContinental has introduced to the North American market an expanded offering of timing belt kits designed to deliver Elite OE solutions technology.

“This expanded offering of Elite-branded kits will provide customized solutions for the warehouse distributor, professional repair technician and consumer,” said Tom Lee, Continental’s marketing manager for North American aftermarket products. “Our portfolio will expand from two to four lines and provide the market with import and domestic solutions for early and late-model vehicles.”

Available January 2016, Continental’s tiered line of Elite timing belt kits will include:

  • Elite Pro Series Plus kit with OE-quality components, water pump, cam and balance shaft seals, and The Pro Series Guarantee
  • Elite Pro Series kit with OE-quality components, water pump and The Pro Series Guarantee
  • Elite Series kit with water pump
  • Elite kit without water pump

In all, more than 550 SKUs will be available covering more than 8,300 applications, Lee noted.

“On average, it takes about two to four hours to complete a timing belt repair whether professional repair technicians replace just the belt or all the corresponding parts at the same time,” said Lee. “Since the time and difficulty is already allocated to do the repair, the return on labor hours is greater when changing the entire timing belt component system.”

For that reason, Continental Elite Pro and Pro Series Plus timing belt kits come complete with all the synchronous parts needed to do a timing belt repair quickly and efficiently, the company states.

From the belt to the tensioner and/or idler, all Continental Elite Timing Belt Kits contain OE-quality components for more than 8,300 applications.

“Many of our kits exceed OEM quality specifications,” said Lee. “In addition, with more than 550 belt kits to choose from, we offer the widest program coverage in the market and a new guarantee program that matches the manufacturer’s service interval up to 100,000 miles.”

The kits are available for domestic and import applications. For additional information, go to thequietbelt.com.
