SKF Announces Broader Coverage Of Its Universal Joint Product Line

Announced at the 2015 AAPEX Show, the expansion offers more part numbers for better coverage of automotive, truck, agricultural and industrial applications.

SKF - LogoSKF has updated its U-joint product line, offering broader coverage as well as an expanded range for its high-performance Brute Force line. Announced at the 2015 AAPEX Show, the expansion offers more part numbers for better coverage of automotive, truck, agricultural and industrial applications.

“We are proud to be able to offer our U-joint line to a wider variety of enthusiasts and professional users,” said Don McEntee, vice president of marketing, SKF USA, Vehicle Service Market. “ ow, more customers can benefit from the high performance and premium quality of our drivetrain products like the Brute Force U-Joint.”

SKF Universal Joints meet or exceed OE specifications. Each part is precision-manufactured to provide reliable performance and maximum service life. The SKF Brute Force universal joint is a high-performance part that is designed for higher horsepower and torque applications and extreme conditions. It is available in greasable and non-greasable versions.

All SKF U-Joints are pre-lubricated with a premium, high-temperature grease that performs well in a wide temperature range and provides a long service life, according to SKF. Greasable versions feature a pre-installed grease fitting in the cross that saves time, prevents installation damage and allows for easy u-joint maintenance. Every part is coated with an oil-based rust inhibitor and packed in a plastic bag inside the box to assure factory fresh appearance and optimal corrosion protection.

This expanded product line gives SKF complete coverage for universal joint-equipped vehicles including cars, light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, buses, RVs, construction and off-highway equipment, agricultural and industrial equipment and marine applications up to and including the 2015 model year.

Corresponding product literature is now available for download at vsm.skf.com. The SKF Automotive U-joints Flyer (457787) includes an overview of SKF’s U-joints, with their features and benefits.
