SKF Kicks Off Its Manufacturing Day Activities With #21DaysofBlaney Promotion

Manufacturing Day kicks off on Friday, Oct. 2, where more than 1,000 manufacturers around the United States will open their shop floors to showcase the possibilities that exist in modern manufacturing.

SKF - 21 Days LargeSKF has launched a social media promotion featuring Ryan Blaney and the #21 SKF Ford Fusion that will run at the NASCAR Sprint Cup MyAfibStory.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway on Sept. 20. The promotion offers 21 days of daily quizzes and activities that reward participants with prizes ranging from racing t-shirts to Ryan Blaney autographed merchandise leading up to Manufacturing Day on Oct. 2.

The promotion, which began Sept. 11, can be found on both the SKF Facebook and Twitter (@SKFUSAInc) platforms. Promotion rules are available here.

The legendary Wood Brothers’ #21 car will feature the theme “Manufacturing Makes America Strong,” which reinforces the importance of modern industry to providing good-paying, high skill jobs. It also helps promote this year’s Manufacturing Day in which participating plants open their doors on Oct. 2 to demonstrate the potential of modern manufacturing and foster interest in manufacturing careers.

Erin Streeter, senior vice president of communications for the National Association of Manufacturers, stated, “This is a great opportunity for us to showcase manufacturing in a different way and to reach a new audience, especially our young people, about the career opportunities available in many of our high-tech industries. Manufacturing Day kicks off on Friday, Oct. 2, where more than 1,000 manufacturers around the United States will open their shop floors to showcase the possibilities that exist in modern manufacturing.
