Advance Auto Parts Names 2015 Vendors Of The Year: Motorcar Parts Of America And BBB Industries

The 2015 Co-Vendors of the Year showed strong category management support in driving product assortments and availability of new applications, Advance said.

At the company’s annual vendor summit held in late August, Advance Auto Parts announced its 2015 Vendors of the Year awards.

Taking home top honors as overall Co-Vendors of the Year were Motorcar Parts of America (MPAA) and BBB Industries.

Advance recognized four additional vendor partners with category specific awards including:

  • Superior Availability Vendor of the Year – Dorman Products Inc.
  • Supply Chain Reliability Vendor of the Year – BP
  • DIY Excellence Vendor of the Year – Shell
  • Commercial Excellence Vendor of the Year – GRI Engineering & Development

The 2015 Co-Vendors of the Year showed strong category management support in driving product assortments and availability of new applications. Advance also recognized MPAA and BBB Industries for their organizations’ investment in a dedicated field sales force and product specialist training.

“The recipients of our Vendor of the Year awards are key to Advance’s success in delivering quality parts and services to our customers when they need them,” said Charles Tyson, executive vice president of merchandising, marketing and supply chain for Advance Auto Parts. “MPAA and BBB Industries have each been valued partners with Advance for more than seven years and 11 years respectively, leading to consistent sales growth in the category.”

Tyson presented the Co-Vendor of the Year Awards to Selwyn Joffe, chairman, president and CEO at MPAA, and Trey Smart, executive vice president at BBB Industries, at an annual awards dinner, which opened the 2015 Advance Auto Parts Vendor Summit.

“Superior product management and customer service are fundamental commitments throughout our company. We are gratified to be recognized by Advance Auto Parts for our entire Street Smart Suite of services that distinguish MPAA as an industry leader and we look forward to continued mutual success,” said Joffe.
